Adventures
Aaahhh...
Some of my favorite pictures ever taken include a Cheez-it box, so I thought I'd make my newly-purchased-from-the-gas-n-sip box pose for a few.
Here's my Cheez-it box posing with the bedside table and Bible. I've also posted an etherial shot of my Cheez-it box looking out over the pool. I wonder what she's thinking???

Here is an old video my friends and I made when we graduated from 9th grade in 1988. I am one of the little 7th graders in the interview. Ha!

Karen and I went for a walk today at Ritchie Woods...and we found flowers! Yippee! Maybe spring isn't too far away after all!

Baby J's Birthday Bike
The two of us headed to Wal-Mart after mass, and we looked at their bike selection. We started looking at the 16" size, and realized that was the same as the size he has now, and had training wheels. Yikes!
He moved up to the 18" bikes, but there was only one he liked there. It still had training wheels, and it didn't have a kickstand.
No kickstand? No problem, I said. We'll buy one and Daddy can attach it. Seemed reasonable to me. But, a bike with no kickstand wouldn't do for J. He had three very specific things he wanted in his new bike. One: no training wheels. Two: a water bottle. Three: a kickstand.
We kept looking and found a cool red bike that was 20" and had a kickstand and a water bottle holder with a matching water bottle! He rode it up and down the aisle of the store, trying it out and swerving all over the place. That's when I decided to get him a helmet, too. We found one that matched and came with a visor and had 3 stars. Apparently, the 3 stars made it official enough for J, so even though he initially insisted that he did not need a helmet, he allowed me to purchase it anyway. Now if I can just be sure he'll wear it when I'm not looking!
Happy Birthday, J!
Boys are so weird.
Here's a close-up of J's foot. He wanted me to post a pic of his toenails before we cut them. I thought I'd show off his nicely-trimmed toenails instead.
Now, I know I have to take some blame and be the "bad mommy" because J's only 8 (tomorrow!) and he doesn't quite cut his own toenails yet. I understand that, but his toenails were ridiculously long. Disgustingly long. Like, "might as well keep growing them and see if they can get longer than that guy's in China" long. But, ultimately, the nails had to go.
J was so proud, he and R tried talking me into putting the clippings in a neat little row on the bathroom counter and posting a picture of them. They thought that was the greatest idea ever. *slaps forehead*
