A long, long, long time ago, when Nellie still lived in the totally awesome state of Indiana, she and I took a class at the public library on cake decorating. After the class, we were inspired, and this the deliciousness we made. Wanna know the secret?

are you sure that was me? I have absolutely no memory of that!!!!! ha!
The secret is to put wax paper over a cartoon shape you like - or whatever you want to draw on the cake. Then, trace the shape with icing. Put the wax paper in the freezer for a few minutes and then turn it upside down onto the cake. Peel off the wax paper carefully, (warm it up slightly with heat from your finger first) and fill in the shape with more icing! Easy and fun!
