Football! Football! Football!

J started his season first - flag football at our church is one of his favorite things. J is a great RB, and in today's game, he caught a 15 yard pass for a touchdown! He's always running hard, and always paying attention to what is going on. We are so proud!

R decided he wants to play football, too. But - he's too old for flag football now, so he's joined the CYO 3rd and 4th grade team. Mark took him to get his practice pants, pads and shoes today - how does he look?

Mark took R out in the backyard to practice running and catching with all of his equipment. R ran laps around the yard, caught some passes and practiced blocking to protect the QB. J volunteered to be the QB and helped out with the practice.

The boys even practiced tackles, being knocked down and getting up again right away. Mark kept knocking R down, and they got a little carried away...

Could somebody tell Mark that you can't do a piledriver when you tackle???
